Thank you for sharing this nice conversation. My sense is that we (the human collective) are on the verge of upgrading our understanding of the solar system, which is a logical happening, considering that we are increasingly stepping into a a global planetary consciousness. The next step is to expand into a cosmic awareness of Self.

To help actualise this map, the wisdom traditions are useful, and I too find the Occult Science very inspirational (I read it many years ago, so it’s great to be refreshed by your musings).

You speak of recovering a language which I think it is a very apt expression.

Astrology was a venerable language but today is, in my understanding, severely broken down and way to abstract (only some plugged in astrologists really get the juice of it).

The actualisation of a cosmic language doesn’t only give access to the past (the portal to the past as you said) but indeed to a whole different scheme and understanding of time. Every civilisation has had a proper calendar and I feel the need for one that matches our budding cosmic consciousness.

(Incidentally I find Gurdjeff’s cosmology associated with the musical scale interesting and somewhat complementary to Steiner’s view). I fully agree that the cycle of sleep and waking up is a pivotal aspect to this learning process. Sleep, our daily little death, makes us cross the threshold and experience the inner cosmos. The reversal from the physical to the metaphysical and back.

Last, I have a question: if I remember well, Steiner mentions a relation between the current position of the Buddha and Mars. I never quite unpacked that. Any clues?
